A little bit more about us

What we do

We run pool sessions on the first and second Sunday of every month, these are held 8:15pm at North Herts Leisure Centre in Letchworth. The pool is heated. We run a polo session on the second Sunday in which our polo team practices and gives informal guidance to one another. This session is still open to other paddlers. A selection of kayaks and paddles is available at every session so you don't need to provide your own kit.

Club members coordinate a variety of trips throughout the year, with at least one trip per month. These trips usually occur throughout the UK and take place over a long weekend. With locations such as Wales, Scotland, Dartmoor, Yorkshire, and the Lake District. We also organise gentler, quieter days trips on more local rivers. Members may borrow club boats and other equipment from our boat shed, at no cost.

Each month we arrange a social event. Historically these have been things such as barbecues, quiz nights, ten pin bowling, to meet-ups at the Orange Tree pub and Garden City Brewery.

You can view our club calendar here.
